AGREEMENT TO OUR LEGAL TERMS
These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (‘you’), and Select Drive Driving School, concerning your access to and use of the Services. You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY
1. Introduction
By booking and attending driving lessons with Select Drive Driving School, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms outline the responsibilities and expectations for both the Student and the School.
2. Lesson Booking and Cancellation
- Booking: All driving lessons should be booked in advance. The Student is required to provide a valid contact number and email address for communication and home address.
- Cancellation/Rescheduling: Cancellations must be made by the pupil at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson. Should the pupil fail to give adequate notice, they will be liable to pay the full driving lesson fee.
3. Lesson Fees and Payment Terms
- Fees may vary for intensive courses, block bookings, or other services, and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
- Payment: Payments are due at the time of booking or at the start of the lesson unless otherwise agreed.
4. Student Requirements
- Age and Eligibility: The Student must be at least 17 years old, and must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence or a valid equivalent. Any changes made to pupils licence including endorsements, they must inform their instructor immediately.
- Health: The Student must inform the instructor of any medical conditions, medications, or impairments that could affect their ability to drive.
- Conduct: Students must conduct themselves in a safe, respectful, and responsible manner. The instructor reserves the right to terminate any lesson if the Student behaves inappropriately, including under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or if they pose a risk to safety.
Failure of the above by the pupil, or in the event of the instructor having to terminate the lesson, the pupil will be liable to pay the full lesson fee.
5. Instructors and Vehicles
- Instructors: All driving instructors are fully qualified and registered with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
- Vehicles: The School will provide a fully insured vehicle for the duration of the lesson. The vehicle is maintained in a roadworthy condition and complies with all legal requirements.
- Student’s Vehicle: If the Student chooses to use their own vehicle, it must be fully insured, roadworthy, and compliant with UK road regulations. The School takes no responsibility for the condition of a student’s vehicle.
6. Driving Test and Examination
- Test Bookings: The Student is responsible for booking their own driving test through the DVSA website. The School can offer assistance with booking, but this service may incur additional fees.
- Test Day: On the day of the driving test, the School can provide a car for the test if requested. The instructor reserves the full right to refuse use of their vehicle.
7. Termination of Agreement
The School reserves the right to terminate any lesson or the entire agreement in the following situations:
- If the Student repeatedly fails to attend lessons without notice or proper justification.
- If the Student’s conduct is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
- If the Student fails to make timely payments for lessons or services.
8. Changes to Terms
Select Drive Driving School reserves the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Student prior to their next booking.
9. Liability
The School will not be liable for any injuries or accidents that occur as a result of the Student’s failure to comply with instructions or driving regulations.
• The Student agrees to indemnify the School against any claims arising from their actions during a lesson.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or attending a lesson, the Student confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
